LEADERSHIP

At MEC, every member is a minister – we all have a part to play in speaking the gospel and in serving one another. A number of our members have been set apart by the church for particular leadership roles. In the Bible these people are called ‘elders’ and ‘deacons’. Our elders, including our full-time pastor, lead the church through prayer, Bible teaching, and pastoral care. Our deacons serve us by looking after various practical aspects of church life. Together, the elders and deacons are also our charity trustees.

Dave Puttick

Full Time Pastor

Dave joined us as our Pastor in 2018. He is married to Meriel and they have two young sons. He previously worked for churches in London and Kent, but as a northerner by birth he’s loving being in Yorkshire. When he has some spare time, he is most likely to be found with a good book. Dave thinks Jesus Christ is the best news in the world, and would love to hear from you if you have any questions about Christianity or about our local church.
